News
Merry christmas and a happy new
year to all you lovers of the AW. Thanks very
much for all your support over the past 6
years and especially this year.
After a quiet 2005 (so most people say) 2006
was a good year for us. It saw us start the
year off by a cheeky white label (which people
are still playing to this day) which was of
course our remix of Sunshine by Raul Midon.
We then went on to set up our own label Tempogroove
and release a couple of tracks Not Going Back
with Pete Simpson on vocals and A Better Place,
promptly followed by an EP from some fresh
new talent, The Cookies Monsterz. Look out
for another hot release from these guys next
year!
Whilst the label got off to a flying start
we completed 2 of our finest (in my opinion)
remixes. Dutty Funk for Mn2s and a hugely
under rated and under played remix for the
Knee Deep label called Show Me by the Rhythm
Slaves, please do look this up if u haven't
done already!
So yeah, what a great year - some fine music
and to top that we got to dj at some rather
nice places too! Estonia, Norway, Ireland,
Holland and of course the UK. Our personal
favorite was Prive in Estonia, such a great
vibe from the word go - closely followed by
the 1st time we played in County Mayo, Ireland.
Mental is probably a light word to describe
that gig! Check out the gallery, but hey those
photos were taken amongst the mayhem so they
probably don't give you a good representation
of what it was about.
Ok.... We normally dont do these, but for
me personally i think its been a great year
for house music, so with out no further a
do (jeez a feel like presenter or something)
Here are my personal fav's of 2006....
1 - Beanfield - Tides (Audiowhores Edit)
2 - Zero 7 - You're My Flame (Justin Knoche
Remix)
3 - Raul Midon - Sunshine (Audiowhores Remix)
4 - Till West - Same Man
5 - Todd Terje - Eurodans
6 - Copyright - We Can Rise
7 - Knee Deep - Take Me By The Hand
8 - Sunkids - Rise Up (Grant Nelson Remix)
9 - Wookie F.t Lain - Live On
10 - John Tejada - Sucre
2007 is shaping up to be the biggest year
for us already. We already have 3 new releases
lined up for Tempogroove Recordings, our new
track with Roland Clark has just been picked
up by a major UK label (more on that later)
and we're set to visit Switzerland twice and
an Asia tour is on the cards - and it's not
even January yet! Ohhhh lovely.
Hmmm anything else to update you on? I'm
not sure - if there is will add to this asap.
Thanks again! Peace, Adam & Graham

Spring
News
For the first time in a long while,
it's great to be able to say that here at
Audiowhores HQ, we are genuinely excited about
this wonderful scene we call 'House'. Ever
since Miami 2005 we recognised that there
was a much needed musical shift on the horizon
sounds
had become a little stale, everything sounded
the same and soulful house music needed a
drastic shake up. But like all successful
movements, house has evolved with the times,
with the energy and edginess which made it
such a popular culture in the first place.
Maybe it's just us, but currently our CD wallet
is packed to the seams with quality, fresh
sounding new music
measly 2 hour
sets just aren't enough right now!
On a personal level, we feel it's the US producers
who are leading the revolution! Well, what
do you expect? They invented house!! The likes
of Dennis Ferrer, Spen, Kerri Chandler,
Quentin Harris, BT (the list is endless)
have really set the tone and lead the way.
Don't get me wrong, the European heavyweights
are doing there bit too - just look at the
success of Defected and the multitude
of artists under their umbrella.
Musically, it feels like our influences have
become more electronic and perhaps a bit tougher.
Or, maybe it's just that we've broadened our
musical horizons and opened our ears a bit?
We've become regular listeners to so-called
'mainstream' radio shows such as Pete Tongue,
Roger Sanchez, Hed Kandi and Annie
Mac. Their track listings are full to
the brim with cool tracks from our favourite
producers; tracks which we rotate on a regular
basis - mass exposure, can't be a bad thing
can it?
And we haven't even mentioned Miami 2006
..not
least memorable this year for Graham's passion
for, well
.erm, strippers! Whatever,
'house' is exciting again. There's a buzz
out there again and we like it!
Rant over
and now for the other
news.
On the gig front, highlight of the year so
far was our trip to Sheffield's super-club,
Gatecrasher for 'Hustle' - it rocked!
Can't tell you how good it is to play on such
a good rig
..top set-up, good numbers,
great promoters, free beer, loads of snatch!
What more can you ask for?! Looking forward
to getting back there at some-point in the
near future. Tracks on the night which worked
for us were "Kerri Chandler - So Let
The Wind Remix", our remix of "The
Rhythm Slaves - Show Me" and "Sumo
- Nini" to name but a few!
Elsewhere, we did the London trip and played
for the ever successful Dusted night.
Their monthly parties are spot on
..rammed
to the rafters from midnight and still going
strong at 6am. It's a good looking Ibiza type
crowd who are really up for it
..funkier
side of house goes down a treat in the Dusted
room (the Dirty Dusted room is an Electro
room).
Tempogroove Recordings is now fully
up and running - Our 1st release Audiowhores
Feat. Pete Simpson - Not Going Back is
now available on www.traxsource.com
as an mp3 promo, then later on it will be
fully available on vinyl and also juno digital.

News February
2006
Well as you can
see we've been far too busy producing music
to be updating our website, so we apologise,
but as you can see on this page we have plenty
of quality music forthcoming. The first of
which you will see will be our remix of Raul
Midons amazing song, Sunshine. Graham fell
in love with the original album version of
this last year, Raul's album has been on repeat
in his car ever since. So far the remix has
been getting ridiculous amounts of airplay/dj-play
from the likes of Aaron Ross, JJK, Neil Pearce,
Delli G, Juke Joint, Redsoul, Groove Assassin,
The Slammin Boys, plus many more. Expect this
to hit the shops late Feb on white label -
clips available to the right of this page.
Next up is our 1st production
of 2006, it took a year in the making, it
features Pete Simpson on vocals and Reel Peoples
brass section - Not Going Back. Cant say much
about the label its coming on at the moment,
but all we can say is we're very excited about
it! More news on the label soon.
We have also a couple of tasty
remixes forthcoming in the coming months.
First up that will surface will be a remix
we did for Knee Deep's USA label. Rhythm Slaves
- Show Me. This project actually started off
as an edit, but we hit on a nice groove and
it just evolved from there. Its defiantly
the most hypnotic groove you will hear this
year for sure! Watch out for this dropping
soon after the Miami Winter Music Conference.
Another remix we have ready
to drop this year is the massive Dutty Funk
from Timmy Vegas, featuring Barbara Tucker
on vocals. Again, this remix just started
off as a quick edit we were doing for our
dj sets, it wasn't really a proper remix for
the label. We got stuck on a nice groove,
sent it to the label and they immediately
loved it! Luckily enough the boys at Mn2s
were very accommodating and managed to squeeze
us onto the final remix package. Look out
for this dropping on Mn2s in May, along with
remixes from Knee Deep, Soularis and more.
Whoooo!
Ok that's it for now, just
want to say thanks to Dusted for looking after
us at the Egg club last week, the club was
packed to the rafters and it went off big
time. Also thanks to Phil and Stu for the
laughs and giggles down at MOS Radio. I think
the show is being archived soon so we'll stick
a link on here or the forum. Peace for now,
A & G x
