2 Indigo ‘Sing it, Shout it’
(Peppermint Jam)
Audiowhores remix brings this track alive with a
jamming piano groove. Catchy as hell male vocal
dominated throughout with some musical arrangements
that sparke. Syke & Sugarstarr provide a more driving
disco effort on the reverse. M7/M8”

2 Indigo - Sing it, Shout it
(Peppermint Jam)
Another solid vocal cut from the leading German label
that shows no signs of slowing down. On the remix
front the UK's Audiowhores provide an uplifting piano
that complements the vocal perfectly and should get
the dancefloor singing along in no time. (CZ) 4/5 |

Audiowhores - Lost Connection EP
Following their success of "Destiny", a monster disco track
(which is featured here as well, just in case you missed it),
the Audiowhores bring us three brand new tracks. "Grenade" is
a latin house number with an infectious piano riff and subtle
spanish vocals. This is the right kind of music for hot summer
nights."Last time" is a true dancefloor stomper with catchy
vocals that guarantees you a packed dancefloor. "Video" is a
wicked sample track with soulful vocal hooks and a floating
sax solo. Watch out for this when it gets released at the end
of July.

If you picked up the debut release by the Audiowhores you’ll
already know the score. Good time house music with a hint of
vocals is the order of the day, and with four tracks competing
for your attention, this EP is excellent value for money.
‘Last Time’ is probably the strongest of the bunch, but the
other tracks are all very playable, and as a bonus, the
Audiowhores’ first release ‘Destiny’ is also included for
those who missed it 1st time round.

Yup, the boys from my neck of the woods are back, and back
with a stormer. A four track EP of quality house music.
Grenade kicks off the EP with it’s quality drums and
percussion and a groovy piano riff. The rolling baseline
underneath keep the track moving and the subtle Spanish vocals
and organs add a Latin feel to the track. Last Time is a
superb vocal house affair with production to match. Video,
again another quality vocal house track, showing some of the
big boys how it should be done. Excellent vocals, sax and a
down and dirty groove. Destiny for me is the stand out track
for it’s pure simplicity and dancefloor devastating quality. A
groovy disco track with a familiar vocal (Chaka Khan I think
!!!) and all the right ingredients to put a smile on your face
and get yer arse shaking.

Audiowhores - House Music All Night
(Original Mix)
Another quality joint from the Audiowhores. Can they do no
wrong? US house music at it's best. A deep penetrating
bass line and a chorus that is catchy but without the
cheese. On the flip side is a remix by Gene Farris which
is a lot deeper, yet it's the original mix that shines.

Audiowhores - Destiny/Tempogroove
The debut release for the Manchester based outfit and what
a debut - 2 tracks that are equally playable on one piece
of vinyl. Destiny is a Chaka Khan sampling cut which, with
its tight production and well used samples, is already
picking up support from Paul Farris in the UK and Deep
Swing in the US. On the flip, Tempogroove is a more Latin
affair that should do some major damage out in Miami.
Curtis Zack
The debut release for new production outfit Audiowhores
sees the boys produce two stunning tracks on one piece of
vinyl. The Chaka Khan sampling “Destiny” is the track that
is currently receiving all the interest, but the summery
Latin vibes of “Tempogroove” make it equally playable and
just as deserving for your attention.

Audiowhores Feat Asia - House Music All Night
What can I say about this tune? The Manchester boys give
us throbbing bass drums and a light funky bass line that
alternates mid-way to help create a prefect groove. Topped
off with luscious keys and an uplifting yet melancholy
break, true hands in the air style. Asia’s heartfelt
tempetous vocal is just the icing on the cake. You would
literally have to be dead not to dance to this track.
Totally irresistible, what can I say, except I love it!
Feel good factor 10.

DEEP SWING PRESENT JAZZ TRANSIT:
Steppin Out
Soulfuric Deep
USA Most Soulfuric fans will already have the
original of this in their collection but with two
fresh new mixes from John Julius Knight and the UK's
Audiowhores this is an essential purchase almost
before the needle. JJK takes the track in an ethnic
direction with beats seemingly inspired by the
Tropical Soundclash vibe and some stripped down sax
parts whilst the Audiowhores go for the jugular with
the Rhodes in full effect and that devastating sax.
Two very good remixes of one of Deep Swing's finer
moments.

Audiowhores feat. Blu ‘After the
Party’ (Soulfuric Deep)
“A typically classy and confident production from my
fellow Mancunians is blessed with a very nice vocal here
by Basement Jaxx collaborator, Blu. Its got a nice live
feel with plenty of jazzy instrumentation (don't forget
that all Rhodes lead out of Manchester) and doesn't ever
feel the need to try to impress with flashy tricks or
cheesy riffs. These guys are getting better with every
production. Floor Filler"
(David Dunne for Update, 14 May 2003)Fans of the
soulfuric sound will be feeling this new release in a big
way. audiowhores team up with vocalist blu for a big,
brassy vocal on "after the party", with the live bass,
tight beats and disco strings taking center stage on this
one. the dub mix breaks it down a little while keeping the
vocal hooks. and for the do-it-yourself djs, there's even
an acapella for you. |

Word Of Mouth - Reach Out
Graham Lord one half of the superb duo The Audiowhores
delivers only what we in the know would call a dancefloor bomb. We received this a week or so ago and
as soon as this piece of vinyl touched the platter it
made me shiver. Flawless music with a superb tight
bassline, mighty fine vocals and a sample to die for.
This track will be massive in all ways and rightly so.
Made with all the best ingredients this will be a
summer anthem. Not sure of the release date yet, but
watch this track fly when it gets its full release!
Massive 10/10
www.faizemusic.com
The Audiowhores’ Graham Lord impresses on this solo
project. A lovely soulful groove that has a catchy
Rhodes line and lush female chorus vocal hook on top
of a live bassline and live sounding strings. It has a
distinct early 80’s jazz funk feel that locks you in
and takes you away and before you know it... it’s all
over. I need another copy!
Seamus Haji
Tune of the week! Got to be one of the best releases

nice,n, deep yet bumpy & soulful. Should keep
dancefloors HAPPY!!!!!

Word of Mouth aka Graham Lord from the Audiowhores

Soul Movement Feat Princess – “Don't
Stop”
(Audiowhores Remix)
The original working of this track really got some proper
good attention from the best names both sides of the pond
and now it's set for a full fat workout courtesy of the
UK's own Audio Whores. Now, I couldn't quite picture how
they'd tweek and re-arrange it, but, it turned out to be
just what the track needed. The Audiowhores have proved
over the last year that they have a keen ear for detail
and this outing really demonstrates their ability to take
the nice bits, enhance them, add them in other places and
beef it all up a little. There's a really nice Jazz guitar
section in there that's sure to press a few people's
buttons. This is sure to impress and please both people
who know and love the original and the folks who may have
been unaware of the producers or the label in the past.
www.jjazproject.com Tight percussion
moves along into a slamming rhodes-driven groove, which
then gives way to a beautiful vocal hook kind of tina
marie meets india with infectious bass, horns, jazz guitar
plus great breakdowns & builds. chocked full of
interesting textures & rhythms this audiowhores remix will
add to any vocal deep set... |

Jazz Transit - Steppin Out "Audiowhores
Remix" (Soulfuric Deep)
This track was up for discussion between Dave Lynam and
myself last week. We both agree that it's a top tune but
differ on the mixes that we prefer. When I spoke to Dave,
he'd already had his copy for a day or two and was caning
the JJK mix big style. So when my copy arrived I was
surprised to find that whilst I liked both mixes, it was
the Audiowhores' offering that did it for me. The JJK mix
is percussive and especially bass driven. The Audiowhores
mix has an altogether jazzier feel. Look out for a killer
sax solo in the midst of yet another funky track from the
prolific Soulfuric label. If you liked Richard Earnshaw
and Mind Influence you're going to want this too.

John Julius Knight - "Find A
Friend Part 2" (Soulfuric)
When I first read the label and saw JJK's "Peak Time
Dub Mix" I was slightly confused to say the least. I
mean the original find a friend isn't exactly a
complex vocal number so "how on earth is he going to
dub a looped sample that he's already made a dub out
of??" I thought to myself! (Are you still with me?)
After checking it out I had to say I was impressed
although if I'm totally honest the dub doesn't touch
the original. However, the Audiowhores mix on the flip
is a completely different story altogether. They use
the original as their basis for their mix - same
bassline from the start, making it instantly
recognisable in a club. Then they throw in an
interesting horn riff for good measure, with only what
I can describe as electronic but soft sounding keys
over the top. (Perhaps an electric piano?) The "Find
yourself a friend "chant towards the end makes this a
fantastic little number and keeps the original vibe
and feel of the song. Not as upfront as the original
but a sound purchase nonetheless!

www.jjazproject.com
Every since the Sylvester sampling "Find a Friend" first
surfaced at the WMC in March it has been one of the
essential records for DJs the planet-wide, and after
months of waiting the track finally got a full release in
September. However just as the masses finally get hold of
it, Soulfuric produce Part Two to shoot it back to the top
of everybody's wants lists. For the second instalment,
J.J.K. supplies a fresh dub to back up his original
version whilst the UK's Audiowhores provide a
well-polished mix that further enhances their growing
reputation, and with the Sylvester influence still strong,
both mixes are perfect for the dancefloor.
